Previously, Jupiter Subsea Control Systems incorporating high flow functions have included additional dedicated high flow valve packs, adding system weight and integration complexity.
Applications requiring motor speed control often need additional proportional controls – feed, extend or docking functions. In addition, certain applications require minimal pressure drops at higher flow rates and load independent flow control for more precise speed control.
The new Jupiter 2 Ultra High Flow Control System provides proportional pressure-compensated flow control up to 160 L/min – maintaining constant flow under variable load conditions. Combined with a fully proportional bi-directional 32 L/min function and two further bi-directional 32 L/min proportional flow functions, the system is adaptable to a wide range of dedicated tooling applications.
The system can be supplied with a range of interfaces for pressure transducers, flowmeters and other devices, and may also be used for standard torque tool control applications.
