A number of approximations have been made, and the user should verify any calculations themselves.

The results take no account of air that may be trapped in the system. Also, some components, particularly transformers and solenoids, will take on a volume of oil when first pressurised when new or if they have been dried out, as air trapped in the windings is displaced by oil.
