Zetechtics Ltd has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade 2024 for Outstanding Continuous Growth in overseas sales over 6 years. The company is one of 252 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise. This year, a total of 257 Awards were made, 161 of these for their contribution to International Trade.
The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed last year to reflect His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II by recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme, now in its 58th year, is the most prestigious business award in the country.
Zetechtics, based in North Yorkshire, designs and manufactures subsea control equipment for the global offshore energy industry. Building on the success of the industry standard Jupiter Control Systems, Zetechtics offers a wide range of subsea control and intervention tooling solutions for high integrity applications across the subsea energy sector. The company has been trading since 1993, and is a previous Queen’s Award for Enterprise winner, for Innovation in 2003. Tim Overfield, the Chairman of Zetechtics Ltd, is delighted that the business has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise 2024 in recognition of their contribution to International Trade.
The total growth of international trade at Zetechtics Ltd over the six-year period was over 2,000% with the percentage of sales exported growing from 5% in year one to 51% in year six. Major markets within this period were Brazil and the Netherlands. To meet the growing demand for the Zetechtics’ Jupiter products and services in South America, the opening of new business, Zetechtics do Brasil Ltda was announced in 2022, after supplying the Zetechtics’ Jupiter equipment to the Brazilian market for over a decade.
Paul Fletcher, Operations Director for Zetechtics Ltd commented, “Zetechtics are extremely proud to receive the King’s Award for International Trade for Outstanding Continuous Growth in overseas sales and on behalf of Zetechtics Ltd, I would like to thank all members of staff both in the UK and at Zetechtics do Brazil Ltda who have worked extremely hard over the last 6 years to develop our new customer base and expand our product portfolio into new regions. I would like to thank our Chairman, Tim Overfield, for his expert guidance in achieving this award during this period of growth.”
Zetechtics will receive the award later this year and will celebrate at a reception for the winners, held at Windsor Castle.
